Oftentimes it is even more important to avoid or minimizing potential conflicts. With Patents, this can be done by reasonable and inexpensive diligence, such as having non-infringement searches conducted before introducing any new product to market, and by monitoring for competitive patenting activities by your competitors and within your field of operation.
